From a mound of toys accumulated over 30 years one toy has risen to the very top of the heap: the emoji squeak ball. Some dogs carry them around like a comfort toy, others live to play chase-fetch-and-kill with them. So far 100% of our dogs have fixated on these weird little balls as their number one favorite.

These toys are round in one axis and flattened in the other so that they are very easy (and apparently, satisfying) to hold in the mouth. Their size and softness makes them pocketable.

Made of a soft pliable rubber these are reasonably durable although if chewing is itself your dog's hobby you will need to keep an eye on the condition of this ball. It will disintegrate under sustained chewing. For chasing and squeaking though they seem to last forever. Sigh.
